PRACTICE DISPENSARY

We have a practice dispensary and we dispense medications to over 95% of our patients in our practice area.

If you are taking a regular course of medicine and require a further monthly supply you can request a repeat supply in the following ways:

·          When prescriptions are dispensed a form is attached which can be used to order further supplies.  Please tick the boxes for the medicines you need and drop this into the surgery.  You could do this on the way to or from work, over the weekend, walking the dog ……..  the list is endless and it could be a lot easier than telephoning during busy times.  Please allow 48 hours (2 full working days) before collecting your medication. Any prescriptions left when the surgery is closed will not be processed until the next working day and you should allow additional time to collect your prescription e.g. orders left over the weekend will not be processed until Monday and will be ready for collection on Wednesday.

·          The dispensary is open from 8.30am to 12.30pm and from 3.00pm to 6.00pm. On Wednesdays we are open from 8.30am to 12.30pm, we close for the afternoon and then re-open from 5.00pm to 7.30pm in the evening.

·          Telephone the dispensary – The dispensary telephone number is:   01884 829492  and the line is open Monday to Friday from 10.30am to 12.00noon and Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 2.30pm to 4.00pm. There is no facility to leave a message on this line.  The prescription line is very busy but we have listed a few suggestions to avoid delay:

·          Do not telephone on a Monday or after a Bank Holiday unless you have only a couple of days supply left

·          Avoid phoning just after the line opens

·          Try to telephone in the middle of the morning or middle of the afternoon

Please don’t telephone the main surgery number to order a repeat prescription.  Our reception staff are not able to deal with prescription requests and we cannot transfer your call.

There is a limited prescription delivery service which is available to our disabled or housebound patients.
